Serengeti comes from the Maasai word ‘Siringit’, which means ‘endless plains’. Serengeti is undoubtedly the most spectacular wildlife movement on earth. The population of cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, birds, rhinos etc are very impressive, but ‘The Great Migration’ is what Serengeti is most famous for. Every year, over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills for the short rains in October and November, and then flow west and north after the long rains in April, May and June.

Our team explored every corner of the Serengeti and know exactly where to take you to spot the best wildlife at the right time!
